|Behind the Scenes|
Centipares are very large, the longest aerial species ever discovered on PNF-404. Its body is segmented, elongated like a millipede or worm, with numerous sets of insect-like wings to give it lift. They begin life with only one pair of wings, but overtime they lengthen, with another set of wings growing to accommodate its larger size. The most ever recorded is about eleven to twelve pairs of wings, also making it the creature with the most wings of any animal.
Centipares are peaceful creatures, as noted by Olimar himself as they actually allowed him to ride on them as he traveled through particularly dangerous terrain. Younger Centipare he noted crave attention as Hocotatian children do.
