Centaurs are a sapient telepathic species which inhabits Mars. They have equine bodies and humanoid heads, arms and torsos. In ancient times, groups of them tried to colonize Earth to escape the Thushol, giving rise to Earth's centaur legends.

Centaurs are telepathic creatures, not only able to read minds but also to transmit knowledge by physical contact. Their ability is such that they can teach other creatures to speak and understand their language almost instantly. They live for centuries.
