The celbaleen is a spaceborne creature native to the Milky Way Galaxy.

Celbaleen are great giant dragon-like creatures that live in space, the size of space vessel. Serpentine creatures that have four mandibles surrounding a great maw, four eyes and two long whisker-like appendages. Celbaleen require mates to procreate.
So far there is evidence that the species or at least one of its number is able to enter an alternate dimension called White Space, a realm said to be the anthesis of a black hole, and rumored to be the Gateway to Heaven, where those who venture into it are cleansed of all impurities, both mind and body. A place where there is no disease, suffering, and absolute clarity. Hence the only member of the species is named Tianlong, after the celestial dragon of Chinese mythology said to guard the heavens.
Unfortunately due to this myth and their mean, the Celbaleen are targeted by humans who have developed a taste for their flesh, especially their ambergris.
