Evidence of Mysterious Ancients can be found on alien planets, but the aliens themselves are no longer around. While evidence of their advanced technology can be found on many worlds, clues about who they were or even what they looked like are difficult to find. The biggest mystery is usually why they aren't around anymore, but the answer is usually a Galactic Threat.
