Immortal Species

Immortal species are those in which individuals have no limited lifespan, and therefore never die of natural causes. Usually they are still susceptible to death by physical injuries, disease, predation, etc... Often, these species reproduce rarely and grow slowly, in order to prevent using out all resources of their environment. In some cases, they neither die nor reproduce naturally, but will do so under some circumstances.
