Extinct Species

The Extinct Species category may include either species which have become entirely extinct, or species that are simply extinct in the wild, due to events such as their planet being destroyed, yet specimens had been in collection off-world at the time. It may also include species that are widely considered to be extinct. Both sapient and non-sapient (or as most science fiction would incorrectly state it, sentient and non-sentient) species may be found here.
