The Carver-wing is a flying ectoparasitoid species native to Darwin IV's tundras. This creature reproduces by attaching barb-tipped egg sacs to the skin of larger animals, such as Rimerunners. The eggs absorb the host's fluids to nourish the unborn babies. When they hatch, they promptly devour the host.
