Captain Chaku's species are an unnamed sapient Human-like species from the distant G5 Galaxy.
Biology[]
Captain Chaku's species appears indiscernible from Humans, at least outwardly, and are presumably very close in internal physiology to Humans, as Chaku's antidote for Ryjack's poison, which was modeled to the physiology of his species, was also able to work on Humans. They appear to age at a similar manner as Humans, but their lifespan is unknown. Captain Chaku displayed greater agility and durability than Humans, but is unknown if these are due to his physiology or due to his extensive cybernetics, although the latter is more likely.
Culture and society[]
Captain Chaku's species formed an intergalactic police force, known as the G5 Galaxy Police Force, and are dedicated to ensuring the safety of innocents across the universe, hunting down criminals across various galaxies. In certain cases, such as dealing with relentless and incredibly dangerous criminals, officers are ordered to eliminate the criminals rather than arrest them. Officers in the G5 Galaxy Police Force are known to be very dedicated to protecting the universe and serving the greater good, willing to join similar teams on other planets and even permanently leave family behind. Due to the dangers of their missions, officers are given cybernetic enhancements to ensure their safety in the field. However, there appears to be a considerable amount of discrimination against cyborgs among Captain Chaku's species, or in the G5 Galaxy in general, as Captain Chaku was worried about showing his half-cybernetic face to his daughter out of fear of her not recognizing or rejecting him, resigning himself to permanent service for the greater good.
Captain Chaku's species appears to have done research on Earth, as they knew of Grid Battleforce and its vault, and were able to transmit a message warning about Ryjack's arrival. G5 Galaxy Police Force officers' technology and fighting styles are very similar to Power Rangers, but any direct relation with any Ranger teams or entities who mentored/worked with/created Rangers, such as Zordon or Ninjor, are unknown. Members of Captain Chaku's species are known to keep a species of intelligent size-changing carnivorous plants, presumably native to their homeworld, as houseplants/pets, possibly to be used as organic waste dispensers, and developed a spray that can cause the plant to spit out what it is trying to eat and revert to a smaller size. Clothing among Captain Chaku's species is reminiscent of Earth's 21st century West, but often has shiny metallic-colored accessories, like vests or jackets. The language of Captain Chaku's species is identical to English.
Technology[]
Captain Chaku's species has highly advanced technology, capable of traveling across multiple galaxies. Notably, they have advanced cybernetic technologies, as seen on officers of the G5 Galaxy Police Force. The cybernetics presumably grant enhanced durability and agility, also presumably replacing the majority of their body and replacing their hearts with an artificial power source. In addition to the cybernetics, the officers also receive portable teleporters capable of crossing galaxies, and highly advanced exosuits, which somewhat resemble the outfits worn by Power Rangers. At least one variant of these exosuits is primarily black with reflective silver armoring. These exosuits and their cybernetics can be powered by Morph X, which could imply that Captain Chaku's species has also unlocked a way to utilize the Morphin Grid as a power source. The suits are recharged through a respirator-like device that is fitted to the mouthpiece of the suits, and when low on power, the officers will become weakened, eventually dying if not recharged in time, and appear to be unable to utter any language other than some sort of robotic code. Officer weaponry consists of powerful lasers fired through the index fingers of their exosuits, and a sword which can be charged with an energy blade for even more powerful attacks.
Officers are also known to use a small vehicle somewhat resembling a sidecar, presumably able to teleport and be summoned from space, armed with frontal laser cannons. Heavier armaments used by officers include flying saucer-shaped battleships and Zord-like combat mechs, such as Captain Chaku's Reptillobeast, which could convert from a somewhat dropship-like form attached to to the underside of Chaku's battleship into a dragon-like form that could fire energy beams from its mouth.
History[]
At some point in the past, Captain Chaku's species created the G5 Galaxy Police Force, becoming an intergalactic force for good and developing or possibly adapting Ranger-like technology. To protect their officers from the dangers of their duties, their superiors had them converted into cyborgs. One member of this species, named Chaku, joined the G5 Galaxy Police Force, gaining the rank of captain. Unfortunately, he was forced to leave his young daughter, Starlight, in order to continue his duties. Chaku was tasked with hunting down a gang of intergalactic criminals, led by an alien known as Ryjack. Over the course of many years, all members of Ryjack's gang were eliminated, save for Ryjack himself, who was dangerous enough to warrant termination upon being found. Captain Chaku chased Ryjack across seven galaxies, eventually tracking him to Earth. Finding out about Grid Battleforce, Earth's latest and most advanced team of Power Rangers, who were utilizing energy from the Morphin Grid itself as a power source, Captain Chaku sent a warning to them concerning Ryjack's arrival.
When Chaku arrived on Earth, fully clad in his exosuit, he could not find Ryjack, who was hiding in the Crystal Dimension. Captain Chaku still managed to track Ryjack to Grid Battleforce HQ, and seeing that he was beginning to run low on power, decided to use some Morph X to recharge himself. However, his alien bio-signature was detected by the Rangers, who assumed he was Ryjack and attacked him. Despite his attempts to communicate and tell the Rangers that he was an intergalactic police officer, Chaku could only utter robotic sounds, likely due to being on low power. He was unable to retrieve his recharging unit and was forced to flee as the Rangers shot at him, teleporting away. Later, Chaku used his teleporter to get into Grid Battleforce's vault, where his recharger was held, retrieving it, but was caught before he could recharge himself, getting locked away in a cell. The Rangers soon met the real Ryjack, with two of their number, Zoey and Ravi, being infected by Ryjack's toxins. Now knowing that Chaku is not Ryjack, the other Rangers, Devon Daniels, Nate Silva, and the robot Steel, attempt to ask him to help, but Chaku had collapsed due to being extremely low on power. While still unable to speak, he reached out for his fully charged recharger, which Steel had brought with him, and the Rangers handed it over, allowing Captain Chaku to recharge and be able to speak English.
He tells the Rangers who he is, and that he comes on behalf of the G5 Galaxy Police Force to hunt down and destroy Ryjack. When he is told that Zoey and Ravi were hit by Ryjack's toxic horn blast, he rushed to their aid, administering the antidote that his species had developed, which was fortunately compatible with Human physiology. Then, Vargoyle, a robot general working under the evil AI Venjix, was detected heading to Morph X towers with a Gigadrone, a Zord-like robot in Venjix' service. Captain Chaku agreed to help the Rangers destroy Vargoyle and the Gigadrone, with Chaku accompanying Devon in direct combat with Vargoyle. They took down many of Vargoyle's robot minions, the Tronics, until Devon cut off the restraining collar on Vargoyle and caused him to flee. Captain Chaku and Devon chased him, with Chaku utilizing his Enforcer Laser to destroy a swarm of Tronics. Detecting Vargoyle heading to another Morph X tower, Captain Chaku summoned his Galactic Interceptor and went with Devon to fight Vargoyle, confronting him in a field, where Chaku and Devon utilized a combined strike of Devon's Beast-X Saber and Chaku's blade's Enforcer Strike, destroying Vargoyle.
Returning to Grid Battleforce, he formally meets Zoey and Ravi, forgiving them for initially apprehending him, and decides to team up with them in destroying Ryjack. After dealing with a faulty security system built by two bumbling security guards named Ben and Betty Burke, Chaku detected Ryjack stealing Morph X barrels, but arrived too late to stop him, instead putting out the fires caused by Ryjack. Due to Ryjack still being at large, Chaku's superiors sent him his battleship and Reptillobeast. For his bravery and assistance to the Power Rangers, Captain Chaku was offered a position at Grid Battleforce by Commander Shaw. While visibly reluctant, Captain Chaku decided to accept the offer if it meant serving the greater good. Chaku brought his personal belongings down to the surface, and Ben and Betty offered to help set up his quarters within Grid Battleforce HQ. Although Chaku assured them that he would be fine setting it up himself, Betty opened up a box containing Chaku's carnivorous houseplant/pet. Chaku quickly told them to remain still, but the two panicked, causing the plant to grow and try to eat them, although Chaku managed to save them by spraying the plant with a repellant and ordering it to spit them out, sealing it back in its box.
After the two leave, Captain Chaku utilized a holographic communicator to speak with Starlight, who was still in the G5 Galaxy, but was unwilling to remove his helmet in front of her. Unknown to Chaku, he was being watched by Nate. Ryjack is soon detected drilling through the tunnels beneath the base, and Chaku joins the Rangers in confronting him. Captain Chaku and the Rangers battled Ryjack, disarming him and then striking together utilizing their most powerful attacks, although this only damages Ryjack, who teleports away. Chaku returned to the base with the Rangers, where Nate pulled him aside and reveals that he saw Chaku talking with Starlight, saying that Chaku should return to her. While Chaku first says that his mission is more important than going home to her, he then removes his helmet, revealing himself as a cyborg to Nate, also implying that cyborgs face discrimination in his galaxy and that Starlight will reject him. Chaku claims that his cybernetics have taken away the father that Starlight remembers, solemnly stating that he would never return home, leaving Nate.
Chaku is later gathered with the other Rangers by Commander Shaw, and is informed that Ryjack has been spotted again. Together, the Rangers and Captain Chaku depart to confront Ryjack once more, and Chaku uses his blade to knock Ryjack's Reanimizer gun out of his hand, before also kicking Ryjack's shield away. After Ryjack's sword is thrown out of his grasp by Devon, Ryjack utilizes a device he stole from the ruins of planet Andresia to grow himself. As the Rangers board their Megazord and battle Ryjack, nearly being destroyed by him, Captain Chaku detects Reptillobeast and his battleship entering Earth's orbit, and summoned Reptillobeast from it, utilizing the mech's weaponry to buy the Rangers enough time to destroy Ryjack. With his mission from the G5 Galaxy Police Force complete, he returned to the HQ with the Rangers, where he was ready but saddened to stay on Earth, only to be offered a gift. He finds that Nate has adjusted the chamber that gave the Power Rangers their powers to remove Captain Chaku's cybernetics, offering to revert him to an organic and allow him to be a father again. Deciding to be with his daughter again, he entered the chamber and was reverted to being fully organic. He thanked the Rangers for their help, saluting them, and departed to the G5 Galaxy, retiring from the G5 Galaxy Police Force. In the G5 Galaxy, he reunited with Starlight, and sent a message to the Power Rangers, where Starlight thanked the Rangers for bringing Chaku home. Captain Chaku allowed the Rangers to keep his plant and its repellant spray, allowing Ben and Betty to train the plant to be a living garbage disposal.

Notes[]
- Captain Chaku told Nate that he was not entirely "human," despite being an alien. This could be possibly due to a translator that Chaku was using merely mistranslating the name of his species to "human," or a recognition of the fact that Chaku's species and Humans are very similar.
