Byvoids are a humanoid species with a distinctive head. They come from planet Byvoida, destroyed by the Boglodites. Roman the Fabulist was a Byvoid, and Byvoids are presumably either endangered or extinct.

Biology[]

Byvoids greatly resemble Humans, with the most notable external difference being their heads. Byvoids have large, hairless craniums, presumably holding larger brains, with some veins or vein-like raised patterns visible on the sides of their craniums. Their ears, appearing pressed into their craniums, have purple interiors that resemble two thick flaps of skin. Byvoids, while bald on their craniums, are known to grow facial hair, such as eyebrows, beards, and mustaches. Internally, Byvoids have purple blood. They appear to be able to smoke tobacco.

History[]

Prior to 1969, Byvoida was attacked and consumed by the Boglodite armada. It is unknown how many Byvoids survived, but at least one, a male, took refuge on Earth, where he was processed by the Men in Black (MIB) and allowed to settle down with his wife under Human disguise, taking on the name of Roman. It is unclear if his wife was also a Byvoid. At another point between settling on Earth and July 15th, 1969, Roman and his wife invited Agent K of MIB to their house for dinner. While K did not like their food, he became friends with Roman.

By July 15th, 1969, Roman had taken a job at Coney Island, posing as "the Fabulist," covering up his cranium with a turban, and learned of Griffin the Archanan and the Arc Net, a planetary shield system that could stop a Boglodite fleet. On July 15th, 1969, Roman was confronted by Boris the Animal, a Boglodite assassin seeking Griffin and the Arc Net in order to consume Earth. Boris demanded to know where Griffin was, but Roman, struggling to light his cigarette, defiantly told the Boglodite that he was too late, for Griffin would soon give the Arc Net to Humanity. Angered, Boris then pulled off Roman's turban, remarking that they should agree to disagree, before killing Roman with a single spike to the cranium. Roman's death was witnessed by a Human, and his body was quickly found by Agent J, a time-traveler who would be K's partner.
