Appearance
The Burpees are one of the number of early forms of terrestrial creatures recently evolving from the ocean onto land, still having numerous features from its life in the sea. In this case, it still retains its fins and tail, though the fins on this particular creature had shrunken down compared to other early lifeforms due to its adaptation on land in the form of two legs.
A rather unique feature that the Burpee has is its legs. Unlike most other early lifeforms, which have two-jointed legs or no legs at all, the Burpee species has the earliest form of triple-jointed legs in the fossil records: the developed knees with a extra knee at the fibula. This gives it longer strides and dexterity over other early lifeforms.
Behavior
Burpees may appear as gentle herbivores at first glance, but they are in fact fairly territorial. Its fins, once used for locomotion, are now used as an extra means of intimidation towards rivals and other intruders.
