Buckley is the nickname for an alien of unknown species and origin.
Both Buckley along with Oriana were the only two survivors aboard a USS starship that crashed on Gorn breeding planet, where he unfortunately had been infected with their eggs which in turn hatched out of his body and killed him as a result.
