The Broken Lords are a race of animated armors.
Biology[]
Formerly called the Lords of the Amber Plains and also the Dust Lords, this race of heraldic knights were once of flesh and blood, but under strange circumstances have transformed into spirits in animated Dust enhanced armor. They were formerly humanoids and maintain vestiges of their old origins. Male and female genders still exists within their ranks. They have the ability to extend their own lives by consuming the lifeforce of Dust from others.
Culture and society[]
The Broken Lords believe themselves to be noble warriors and lords, adhering to chivalry ideals even though they are immaterial and have lost their humanity. Possessing an aristocratic society they maintain various houses.
Other races view them as monsters, due to their rites of consumption. While many mainstream houses find these rites to be atrocious to their legacy, a few Broken Lords have fell under the temptation of eternal life and feed on other races.
