Brainmasters are a subspecies of Cybertronians from the planet Cybertron.

Biology[]

While also being a subgroup of Autobots, Brainmasters consider themselves a species unto themselves.

Anatomy[]

Brainmasters have similar biology to other Cybertronians, except that they all possess a special form of technology, where a full-size Cybertronian can transfer its consciousness into a smaller Micromaster-sized Transtector.

Given there are only four Brainmasters, three of them transform into cars, whereas Star Saber transforms into a large space-jet.

Powers and Abilities[]

Brainmasters share many of the same abilities as other Cybertronians.

Due to an unexpected side-effect of the brainwave-duplication process, Brainmasters possess Brain Power, which is a powerful boost given to their courage, strength, intelligence and skill. This power makes them "one of the most powerful warriors in the universe".

Each of the four Brainmasters is able to use one of these respective talents, represented by the name of their respective Brain.

Star Saber can transform into his Star Saber form by combining with the rest of his vehicle mode, whereas Blacker, Braver, and Laster can combine to form Road Caesar.

Culture and society[]

Brainmasters serve as elite members of the Galactic Defense Force Sector One troops.

Technology[]

Transtectors, also known as Brains or Brain Robos, link to the Brainmasters' larger bodies by entering a chest cockpit. They then move up to take their place within the body's pre-existing helmet, forming the face and interior cerebral circuits of their giant robot form.

History[]

The Brainmaster technology was developed as a way to bring Cybertron and its allied planets Master and Micro closer together. The process was discovered to amplify its users' mental faculties, and the Galactic Defense Force soldiers who used it became the galaxy's strongest soldiers.

When the Decepticons learnt of the process, they tried to take it for their own, leaving the Autobots with no choice but to destroy the labs that spawned the process. Nobody has since been able to duplicate the process.
