The Brains are, as their name implies, a species of what appear to be independent human-like brains with eyeballs.

They are literally just brains with eyeballs and brain stems. They possess extremely advanced telepathy and hypnosis powers. Due to lacking limbs, their only method of locomotion is slithering like snakes, which they do very slowly, apparently incapable of achieving any significant speed.
