BotBots are a subspecies of AllSpark Mutation-type Earth Transformers from the planet Earth created when ordinary Earth objects got exposed to Energon.
Biology[]
Anatomy[]
BotBots share a similar biology to other Cybertronians, except they are a fraction of the size of a human. While they do possess some form of transformation cogs, it is unknown whether they have sparks.
Powers and abilities[]
BotBots share the same transformation ability as other Cybertronians. In addition to mechanical objects, they are also able to transform into organic materials such as food, plants, sports balls, and hardware tools.
Culture and society[]
BotBots hide in plain sight by day and emerge from hiding to have all kinds of fun by night. These tiny bots have organized themselves into squads based on their stores of origin.
The BotBots' one and only rule is that no BotBot should reveal themselves to a human under any circumstances whatsoever. Known as the "Sacred Rule of the Mall", this rule is designed to keep BotBots and their otherwise chaotically carefree lives safe, as keeping their existence a secret ensures that they can continue their nighttime partying.
Whenever a BotBot accidentally breaks the Sacred Rule, they could face some harsh consequences. Probably harsher if they did so to a human not as incompetent and ineffectual and distractible as the mall's current night security guard, Dave.
History[]
BotBots came into existence when a mysterious cloud of "Energon power" covering the contents of a closed-for-the-night shopping mall brought life to the merchandise (mechanical and other wise) inside the stores, turning them into miniature robots.

Notes[]
- In the BotBots cartoon, the BotBots are really committed to the Sacred Rule of the Mall, as there have been multiple times in which those with food-based alternate modes come close to being devoured by Dave and refuse to shift to robot mode to save themselves.
- On top of that, it has been stated that several hiding BotBots had been bought by humans and taken from the mall never to return. Clogstopper nearly befell this fate before he was returned the next day for being "defective".
