History[]
Some time in the 21st century, Ethan Taylor an entrepreneur who invested all his money in time travel was facing financial ruin. In order to save himself, Taylor used a ship that he built to travel through time, taking him to another world where he discovered Plentis. There he encountered the natives, the Borakonda who lived on a poor resource world devoid of any edible sustenance. However Plentis to his delight was rich in gold, which caused him to realize a business opportunity.
Taylor made a deal with the King of the Borakonda, Kai-Bora-Tynus, in exchange for gold, the human would provide the aliens a stable source of meat: humans. Using his assets on Earth, Taylor sought to acquire the necessary meat for his new partners, by creating the gym franchise Men of Steel. The gyms that spanned multiple branches across the USA, and gave the businessman access to all the potential human meat products he could select. Part of his modus operandi was to have his men target muscular men and sell special orange steroid pills that made human blood and meat more delectable to Borakonda. Those men who bought the pills were abducted shortly after leaving their gym. After they were rendered unconscious and stripped of all articles of clothing, they transported unto his ship to be taken to Plentis. As an insult to injury Taylor rebranded his human merchandise as Viand to the Borakonda, who took the human males to be caged and shackled in a warehouse to be fed and fatten for consumption.
It is unknown how long the operation held, but at some point the gold Taylor received allowed him to become a billionaire and create Taylor International Solutions. The illicit operation came to an abrupt end when a Chicago police officer was among the latest shipment sent to Plentis. Nathan having just been at his gym was kidnapped though had never taken the pills given to him by the gym staff. Due to this when he and several other men were dragged from their cages, Nathan was saved from being eaten due to being inedible. So instead the King and his subjects decided to have a blood sport with him. While in captivity, a female Borakonda named Bora-Ty grew interested in him, befriending him, taking pity for his imprisonment
It was there mistake, as Nathn had a weapon which he then used to take captive Bora-Ty, who was the daughter of the king and use her as a hostage to free his fellow humans. During their escape from the aliens outing the group made it back to the warehouse where all the other human livestock were kept. Bora-Ty having grown attached to the human and sympathized with her captor agreed to assist them in freeing the other men in exchange for being taken with them to Earth. She played the role of the one who captured Nathan, allowing the other freed men to get the jump on their alien masters.
The group managed to overpower crew that was manning the ship that was bringing Taylor to Plentis. However they ship needed time to jump off Plentis. so Bora-Ty gave herself up to her father. Nathan seeing that she would be punished as a traitor refused to leave the alien woman who be became fond of, made the pilot swing back to pick her up. Though the rescue was all for naught as Bora-Ty was hit by a bullet, and died in Nathan's arms.
The pilot then took the captives to a New York warehouse owned by Taylor. Upon disembarking the former human cattle beat the pilot and proceeded to leave the premises. Nathan suspected that Taylor who was left behind on Plentis would become the Borakonda's next meal, but was determined to end the corrupt human's legacy by destroy each Men of Steel gym after he gave Bora-Ty a proper burial.
Culture[]
Borakonda wear no clothing, preferring to conduct their activities skyclad. Their culture was not technologically advanced and their world had very little vegetation and animal life. Thus they never developed any form of agriculture of animal husbandry. Upon being introduced to humanity, who the refer a the Viand, at their partner's insistence, as it was a French word for delicacy, the began an operation of farming human men. They kept their captives shackled and caged in cages suspended off the floor. The cages were automated to release water and pellets of food. Captives who gained an appropriate weight were culled to be taken for harvest.
The Borakonda were particular in the taste of human blood, as they required their stock to consume a specific drug to make them taste delicious. Those taken to be eaten, were not slaughtered right away. Instead were given horrible end of being spitted and roasted alive like pigs, over an open fire eaten by men, women and children.
