note: This is my first fanfic so let me know if you have any suggestions.
So who here believes in aliens? and if you do why? and do you fear them?or are you fearless express your deep scientific brain!
Found this video and wanted to share it as I think it's an interesting idea at least.
As a guy born in the 90's, I sadly never read the Animorphs book series, but did watch many episodes of the TV series that came later. It was entertaining and I certainly would give a movie series a watch.
Here is the first episode of the Animorphs TV series (although it is poor quality):
I don't check as much as I should, but is there a category that includes people that have suffered to the point of death because of aliens from various films?
Which of the Xenomorphs will win? Jock-Xenomorph or the Xenomorph queen
"Parapsychology is a field of study concerned with the investigation of paranormal and psychic phenomena. Parapsychologists study telepathy, precognition, clairvoyance, psychokinesis, near-death experiences, reincarnation, apparitional experiences, and other paranormal claims." - Wikipedia
Since many extraterrestrial individuals and/or species in comics/books/films/etc. display psychic or supernatural abilities in some respect, I was wondering what anyone's opinion was on the subject of Parapsychology?
Think of all the aliens (good or bad) who you've seen and would class as been 'badass', then work out who do you think is the best?
Well I've reached 1600 edits - even while rushing around to do what you have to do for normal life.
With Christmas and other winter holidays coming around in a few short weeks, I don't know what I'll be doing, but I'll be most likely be playing the role of peacekeeper just in case it looks like any arguements may break out. My sister may be coming over with her boyfriend and my baby nephew, so that will be a nice thing at least.
So, what are your plans for the holiday season, whatever you may celebrate?
I have been toying with the idea of a grand unified science fiction timeline as an article here on this site, it would be used to show relative dates of different events in different science fiction universes.
Problem is that this would be a slightly more comedic article, and may not fit the tone of the rest of the website, but it would provide very real information an an interesting comparison.
Since James Cameron has said that Thanator will eat a Xenomorph queen for breakfast but as the blood of Xenomorphs are corrosive, wouldn't the queen's blood severely burn the Thanator's throat from the inside & also its jaws which is also fatal to the Thanator if the Thanator eats the Xenomorph queen so the Thanator will suffer the excruciating pain from that?!
...& yet the Thanator can also be killed by stabbing it multiple times as shown in the film, Avatar, so wouldn't the queen be also able to kill the Thanator by her inner jaw & stabbing the Thanator with her sharp tail?
If you could have any extraterrestrial abilities, what would you have and what would you use them for?

Wow…. Kingdom of Hawaii… hehe… sure makes sense if they did not agree to be a state of the corporation of the non-united states of america… I’m glad they are doing something inspiring for the world… an actual welcome for our ET family… makes sense since there are millions of ships in our sector of the solar system… they wait for a peacefilled welcome from earth… so Hawaii may be leading the way, but each of us plays a role by being a peaceful being who respects universal law…. universal law??? Yeah…. we don’t need lawyers… and hundreds of thousands of manmade laws…. we only need 18 Laws of God and the Creation… times are changing eh?

My reason for asking this was from watching this video from Novemeber 1977, in which an apparent extraterrestrial called Vrillon of Ashtar Galactic Command took over a TV channel in Southern England. (The video has been subtitled)
If something like this happened on a worldwide scale with a similar message, how would you react?
(Here's another example from Man of Steel).
I just wrote another article for Future-Bound-Entertainment, I hope that everyone clicks this link and enjoys it, maybe check out the other projects we got on the site (rebel cowgirls especially) and please share anything you like on twitter, facebook, whatever :)
In the past, we've had sci-fi crossovers in comics, books, tv shows and movies, such as the numerous 'Alien vs. Predator' crossovers or the 'Doctor Who/Star Trek 'Assimilation' comics among others, with varying results.
My question was, if you could see a sci-fi crossover been put together (as a book, comic, tv show or movie), what would you like to see been mixed together?
'Designer Babies' is an idea that is often used throughout the sci-fi genre - sometimes involving genetic engineering, eugenics, etc.
Oddly, my first knowledge of such a notion came when I was in Assembly one day at school. Our headteacher was talking about the future and talked about the designer babies idea - saying that one day in the future, a parent could just decide for themselves the desirable traits they wanted their child to have. Although I don't remember all of what the headteacher said as I was only about 7 or 8 years old at the time, but even then I found myself with a strong rejection of that idea.
Since then, I've come across it more times such as in the 1997 film 'Gattaca', where - in the future - potential children are conce…
This was something I thought about, so please don't get angry at me - the purpose of this blog is not to insult.
What do you think would happen, if we found out that the deities in our religions were all actually extraterrestrials?
My reason for asking was due to stuff I've read about on various websites and what I've seen, such as Eygptian artifacts that seem to resemble aliens/ufo's, the story about alien contactee going back in time with aliens to meet Jesus (make your own minds up there), the Marvel Comic version of Thor showing the nine worlds in Norse Mythos as been other worlds/planets and this funny argument from the film Paul:
Been honest, I wasn't expecting that. :D
Got a few more badges to earn, a lot more to add to this wiki and I'm enjoying it all so far. :)
Simple really; What's your favourite game that incorporates a Sci-Fi theme? This can be anything from Aliens and UFOs, to time travel, to being in the future, etc.
Unfortunately, I'm one of those guys who can never decide what my favourite is as even if I do, it changes depending on my mood. So, here's a list of the games sci-fi games I had/have and what I play/played them on.
- Terminator 3: The Redemption (PS2)

Still getting used to the wiki, but feel I'm getting the hang of it now.
Added some new articles, updated some old ones and I've got some ideas for others that need adding at some point. Of course, I will check back to the list of articles that are needed to see if there's any I can do.
Been having a bit of nostalgia from watching Aquila recently on YouTube - loved that show when I was a kid. :)
Anywho, hope everyone is all right and enjoying themselves. Love and Light, Zneet, Allons-Y and all the rest. :D
I wrote an article for Future-Bound-Entertainment where I got to gush about Silt Striders :D
The "Alien Spotlight" is a recurring feature on Future-Bound-Entertainment where I talk about alien lifeforms that I love.
I noticed this morning that I had an email in my inbox offering me a temporary code for having forgotten my wiki password. The thing is, it isn't something I would forget. This means someone, somewhere is apparently attempting to hack into my account. I wanted to inform the community in case I do anything out of the ordinary. At the same time, however, my computer finally kicked the bucket a couple days ago, and this means I will be doing all of my editing either from my phone (which sucks for editing and will likely only be on my user pages) and the work computer (which I can make larger edits but is more risky and will still not allow image uploads of any sort). So if I am somehow making major edits in the next couple days, it ought…
Man, it's been a while since I wrote a blog on here, huh?
Posting to let everyone know that I have lately been purchasing apps on my newly-upgraded Android phone, and have been focusing primarily on games that have aliens in them. A primary reason for this of course is to support us here at ASW (my apparent lack of participation has far more to do with a load of adult responsibilities than it has to do with lack of enthusiasm for us here).
While the primary app I downloaded was Star Wars: Tiny Death Star (which really won't serve any purpose here at all), I do have others such as A Space Shooter For Free! and Star Command which I will be working on adding here to ASW; unfortunately I don't know how to take screenshots from my phone to use here so …
Help Create The Riddick Alien Survival Challenge Quiz!
How would you fare against hordes of extraterrestrial beasts in a barren alien wasteland? Wikia wants to know and we'd like YOUR HELP coming up with questions for a quiz. We want the final results to be "Alien Fodder", "Alien Slave Mind", "The Turncoat", "Survivor", and "Resistance Leader" -- make sure your question has an answer related to each result.
Head over to the Riddick Wikia before January 2nd to submit your questions!
If I have upset any one about my Sea Hunter pages, i am sorry I am new to this website. I read it was ree for any one to edit. For now on it will all be done on Fanon. I hope you all like it. Sincerly, Stormy Seaman.
I have noticed that we have a bit of a problem with uncategorized pages.
please help D:
a lot of these pages need to be deleted, or completely remade.
First of, I have written this post partially to try to create a place to settle down the recent controversy over "Alternative Forms of Life", so we no longer have to jump over between several user talk pages and category talk pages, and I also think putting it in blog form might help bringing in more opinions on the whole matter.
Thing is: I have recently brought back Category:Alternative Forms of Life (because it had dozens of pages and I saw it as a nice, useful category), which had been previously deleted. I never thought there would be so much controversy about it, but it ended up spawning some. Points against it have been raised: specifically, that it's impractical, highly anthropocentric, hard-to-define, highly anthropocentric, incorr…

This blog is intended for the Administrators and Bureaucrats of ASW.
While I was perusing the various IP blocks we have here, I noticed a trend to block IP's for either infinite, or for an inhumanly long time (until 2111, for example.)
I feel it must be reminded that all users first deserve a warning, and then a temporary block. (3-5 days). If they are just petty vandals, they will probably not come back after that. If they do, and continue to vandalize, a longer sentence should be put in place. (2-3 weeks, depending on severity of actions.)
One thing we should never do though, is outright ban an IP from editing this wiki, forever. It is potentially detrimental to people who may get that IP in the future and may wish to edit here, or people …
What happens when the Ur-Quan Kzer-Za play the Engrish translation of Zero Wing? They say:
All your base are belong to us! Become a Fallow Slave or A Hiearchy Battle Thrall!
This is not good.
The Predators are the primary alien antagonists of the Predator film series, they are a race of hunters that continuously seek human and other exotic prey both sapient and non-sapient.
In the various non-film media the Predator have been portrayed in a number of different ways, they are typically called the Yautja (e-wat-ya) in expanded material and the term has generally been accepted by fans and writers of the material.
However in two of the DH Press predator books, starting with Predator: Forever Midnight they are portrayed as the Hish-qu-Ten (Abbreviated as Hish), with seemingly no attempt to even loosely connect them with previous versions of the species.

Once when I was younger I use to wonder if we were alone in the universe. I was 10 yrs. old at the time and I can remember looking up at the stars and envisioning a giant UFO, all the stars connected forming a huge craft. The musings of my mind soon diminished as I went on to highschool and then college. There I met a clairvoyant who told me I was meant for something greater than the job I had bartending. She said I was suppose to move WEst and find a Guru. Two years later I found myself on the road headed to California from Wisconsin. There I started taking yoga classes from a lady named Lola and soon became interested in esoteric philosophy. I was interested in modeling and sent some of my photos I had recently taken to a couple o…

How do we handle plants . . .
both the words "flora" and "plants" are technically incorrect.
Do you put non-sapient plants in the "non-sapient species" category? As there are both sapient, and non-sapient plants . . . .
I say we use the term "flora" - _ - and then categorize the species by sapience . . .
but that is confusing as heck, because then we will have a bunch of plants in non-sapient species . . . .
and this all applies to microscopic organisms as well :I
Well, I guess I just impulsively stayed up all night to finish removing all 256 remaining Star Wars species from the Triangulum Galaxy category where they do NOT belong. You're welcome :D
Mine would probably be the Predators. Comment and tell me which one you like.
okay guys . . . we have to make pages for these alien dolls.
just putting this up as a reminder to myself, you guys can do it to if you feel like it.
Since my ideas about Featured Articles seem to have been well-received, I went ahead and created Template:FA for us to put on the talk page of articles we'd like to nominate.
Already nominated Ralok's suggestions (Hokita and Remulakian) plus the following articles: Anunnaki, Cardassian, Dalek, Elder Thing, Felucian, Geth, Grox, Kryptonian, Long One, Mala'kak, Martian (Looney Tunes), Martian (Ray Bradbury), Melmacian, Mesklinite, Metroid, Necromorph, Pak'ma'ra, Prawn, Soft One, Species (Alien Species), Tenctonese, The Thing, Weeping Angel, Xenomorph and Yautja.
These are the wiki's best articles IMO, but if you disagree feel free to contest them. Also, please nominate more articles if I forgot some which also deserve FA status!
For years, I've been utilizing code on here to create new infoboxes to include info not found in current templates; however, I am thinking about creating some new templates for us to use, similar to this or this. Do any of you have any opinions on what should and shouldn't be included? I'm thinking it'd go something like the following:
Any of the statistic options not filled out won't appear on that particular list, so you won't have a bunch of blank options.
- Status (for extant, extinct, critically endangered, data deficient, etc)
Any of the statistic options not filled out won't appear on that particular list, so you won't have a bunch of blank options.
- Status (for alive, deceased, mis…
For quite some time now (and I mean it, it's been more than a year) we've had the same "featured article" in our Main Page, the Moorwen.
Before that, I remember we went through a few others that were chosen by votation every month, but that system was sort of unofficially dropped because almost nobody voted. And before that, I remember we had a list of "featured articles" which were chosen arbitrarily.
I believe it's time for another change, and I got a proposal. Between having a list and having a new article every month, I prefer the list, so we won't have to chose something new all the time. But instead of a list, it should be far more interesting as a gallery. And of course electing the featured articles by voting is far preferable than c…
If they are making another series, the should have more dinosaur, insects, elemental and flying aliens.
I was going to buy it, but it was expensive. . . turns out someone scanned it and made it available . . . the lack of legal repurcussions towards it, and hte age of the document seems to make it okay to share it.
official (non-canon but we dont care) medical manual
I have found a new method of sorting Species by trait without overwhelming the pages with categories.
by including thet
code on the category pages . . . . they
will not appear on the actual page.
Thus we will be able to sort through five fingered
species, without the category "five fignered" appearing on each
page, or red colored species, or various otehr traits . .
The question is . . . is whether we should do this or
you can see an example of this here
I dont know if this is a good idea yet, so I think it
should be discussed.
I am creating this blog to discuss what I think is appropriate content for this wiki, as there seems to be some dispute over it. First and foremost I think that this places is a place for . . . alien species! But it is a place for other things as well.

This is obvious, this is a place for any and all species alien to this universe. That is to say something unknown in our world, it could be a species or being from any science fiction or fantasy universe, even if that universe is defined solely by the presence of this single aspect.
This includes species sapient, non-sapient, floral, fungal, anything and everything.
All alien technology should be allow…
So, because Alien Fanon stopped accepting non-AVP content as of...July I believe it was, and because I wanted us at ASW to have control over the new sister site so that we don't have to worry about a repeat occurrence of our placing information taken off this site no longer being allowed there at some time in the future, I have created a new fanon sister site for us to use: Extraterrestrial Fanon Wiki.
I expect to start moving fanon info there soon, and you're more than welcome to start doing so immediately. Any of you admins here, if you want administrator status over there as well let me know and I'll make it happen. We should also probably affiliate with it on our front page here on ASW. — Somarinoa (talk) 02:34, August 19, 2012 (UTC) …
is there any way we can use this
to fix the categories . . .I have been killing myself trying to change them manually
we need to change the categories here . ..
the categories are a mess, tehre is too many variations of the same thing . . . too many redundany categories.
I banned IP 184.108.40.206 for changing the Grey Widowers information on the Creatures of the Mist page into simply "POOP POOP". Vandals annoy me. They'll be gone for a while. If there's anything I've missed let me know, of course. I'm all ears, scrutinizing eyes, page scrubbing industrial bleach and banhammers. And, I dunno, a Pokédex or something.
I've been told about someone adding a bunch of articles to a subjective category, too, though I only just woke up so haven't gotten around to that investigation or anything. I will, though.
Also, out of curiosity, anyone else find this new way to click an image and pull up some sort of full window slide show absolutely worthless? Don't know what I'm talking about? Go ahead and click an image in …
