Beaus' species are a sapient extra-galactic race, regarded in the 40th century as one of the great powers of the outer galaxies. They hail from the Miron systems. In the year 4000, a representative of this species became one of several allies of the Daleks in their planned invasion of the Milky Way.
Biology[]
Members of this species are humanoids with Human-like faces, who breathe a chlorine atmosphere and need to wear pressure suits to survive on other planets. Their minds are communal, forming a collective intelligence. Being completely isolated from the gestalt results in death for them.
Culture and society[]
This species appears imperialist, as they longed for conquest and territory expansion, which prompted them to join the Galactic Council in an alliance with the Daleks.
Technology[]
To survive in other atmospheres, members of this species utilize black space suits with white helmets and a dark visor, with a white tube connecting their helmets to their chlorine atmosphere tanks. To keep each member of this species connected to their hive mind during distant travel, each suit is equipped with a radio antenna that keeps them in contact with their brethren.
Appearances[]
- Doctor Who, season 3, "Mission to the Unknown" (1965)
- Doctor Who, season 3, "The Daleks' Master Plan" (1965)
Notes[]
- In the novelizations of the serials, Beaus and Sentreal are mistakenly identified by each other's names.
