Basalt are the species that originate on Andesite.

Appearance

Basalt appear to be large, yellow crystalline-like rock monsters.

Powers and Abilities

The Basalt's home planet may be a dangerous place for humans, but they are very skilled at adapting to their environment.

Their super-human strength is good for crushing and pummeling and can manipulate earthquakes.

Weaknesses

They are crumbersome and not very fast or agile. Water is dangerous to Basalt as over time, it erodes their body and weakens their strength.

Basalt cannot swim and will sink like a stone.

Omnitrix Transformation

The Omnitrix's Basalt representative is named Rocks, who first appeared in the live-action stage production Ben 10: Power of the Omnitrix. Derrick J. Wyatt would later confirm that Rocks exists in the original Ben 10 continuity, having been unlocked and used off-screen during Omniverse.

Etymology

Basalt is a type of igneous rock.

Notes

  • The Basalt made their debut in the live-action stage production Ben 10: Power of the Omnitrix. Wyatt would later canonize the species into the original Ben 10 continuity.
  • According to Duncan Rouleau, the Omnitrix from the Ben 10 reboot contains Basalt DNA. Therefore, Rocks is one of the countless aliens whose DNA pod was glimpsed in the episode "Innervasion Part 5: High Override".
