The Atlan Predators are a non-sapient alien species from a high-gravity world called Atlas.
Biology[]
Predators are carnivores who prey mainly on Sky Grazers. They appear to be of an insectoid nature, with two long claws and an extendable sucker, and an inflatable sac on their rear, allowing them to fly.
Usually spending their time in bushes of native vegetation, the predators rise up into the air like balloons using a huge sac filled with gas produced by bacteria when they spot Sky Grazers flying close. When the Sky Grazer flies below them, the Predators deflate their sacs and drop down on the creature. The Predators then use their claws to grab on the flesh of the Sky Grazer, and secure their grip using an extendable sucker to pierce into the skin of the Sky Grazer. Predators hunt in groups, and use their weight to drag the Sky Grazer down, out of the sky, killing it, although a Sky Grazer can escape.
