Armorizers are a race of rock-like humanoids from an unknown planet in the Infernac Universe.
Biology[]
Anatomy[]
Armorizers are bipedal humanoids made from living rocks and minerals found throughout the galaxy including volcanic rock, obsidian,[1] death crystals,[2] solid energon,[3] and even Nucleon.[4]
Ecology[]
Armorizers consume calcite.[5]
Powers and abilities[]
Armorizers possess transformation abilities akin to various subspecies of Cybertronians.
Most Armorizers are functionally similar to Multi-Component Transformers, being able to split apart to form armor and weapons.
Due to being made of solid Nucleon, Nucleous can impart power far beyond that of the average Armorizer.[6]
Bouldercrash and Geocron are functionally similar to Triple Changers, particularly Mini-Con Triple Changers due to possessing robot, vehicle, and weapon-based alternate modes.
Weaknesses[]
Extended exposure to Nucleous will deprive his partner of their ability to transform.[6]
History[]
Hailing from a dimension known as the "Infernac Universe", Armorizers were created when an unknown living essence fused with different alien rocks and minerals.[5]
Under the leadership of Thundertron, the Star Raiders coasted across the galaxy in search of the Armorizers, hoping to form an alliance to defeat the larger Cybertronian race.

Notes[]
- According to Hasbro designer Mark Maher, the Armorizers are thematically inspired by the rocky inhabitants of planet Daira from the Headmasters episode "My Friend Sixshot!" and the Rock Lords from GoBots.
- During the production of the Transformers: Legacy‒United toyline, Shard was the subject of the initial pitch for the Armorizers at Maher's request.[8]
- The initial concept for Nucleous was to use Armorizers to illustrate through play the use of the toxic performance enhancer "nucleon" that provided the fictional justification for the Action Masters' inability to transform.[6]
- The Armorizers' home dimension, referred to packaging as the Infernac Universe, takes its name from the subterranean realm of Metlar from the original Inhumanoids television series.
- While next to no information is provided on Armorizer physiology, Maher notes that they are definitely not sparked in the vein of traditional Cybertronians. As such, the design team for the Legacy: United toyline tended towards concave torsos to illustrate this.[6]
- Boulderclash was originally designed after red quartz before the need for progressively more bright red highlights on top of the duller mineral pushed the character in a different direction, resulting in the final toy's lava-like design.[9]
- According to concept art designed by Maher, one of Magneous's preliminary designs had a mottled sea green deco based on Rock Lord Sticks 'n Stones and a chest plate shaped like a ghoulish face with glowing spots resembling eyes, a nose, and a mouth.[10]
- Another concept design was closer to the final toy but had a gray deco inspired by basaltic scoria.[10]
- In addition to the appearance of nucleon coating inspired by Marvel's Transformers continuity, Nucleous's deco is informed by real-world milky quartz.
- Likewise, alongside the obvious blue-colored energon, Calcitron's deco is likely based real-world blue calcite.
- During Geocron's reveal on Hasbro Pulse's May 2024 Transformers Fanstream, Hasbro designer Evan Brooks Brooks referred to the character using gender-neutral pronouns.[11]
