These Butterflies were a species of insect found on the Ark, also known as Installation 00. They were similar in appearance to Butterflies from Earth, but they all seemed to have only two different color patterns, yellow and orange, or all purple. They were presumingly all killed off when the Ark was destroyed by Master Chief and Thel 'Vadam.
