The Arconians are a species native to the planet Arconia.
Biology[]
An Arconian is a bipedal creature, that stood seven to eight feet tall. Reptilian with yellow and black stripes for scales.
History[]
Eons ago the Arconians built an advanced civilization on Arconia. However they soon learned that the universe was no quiet as they were attacked by a species known as the Pyravoreans. Although the Arconians were unprepared for the attack and the Pyravoreans destroyed many of their cities, they managed to counterattack and drive away the invaders.
Since that day the Arconians vowed never to be helpless and turned their eyes to the stars. They changed their culture, aiming to conquer new worlds, turning their aggression through tradition. Through their march to claim the galaxy, the Arconians had claimed seventeen victories, two losses, and one retreat.
Of said losses were when they engaged the Caelavex Hive, resulting in losing thirty thousand warriors and teaching the Arconians in humility. The second loss occurred during the Third Zephyrian War, which costed the species more, as a coalition of species united against the Arconians, developing weapons that could corrupt their bio-technology, turning their own ships against them.
Despite these losses, the Arconians adapted and evolved, leading to then to transform worlds, uplift species or commit genocide, with the Arconian Empire expanding.
The Arconians came to Earth during the age of the thunder lizards. Originally they planned to uplift them, enhance their already formidable qualities. But fate had other plans when an asteroid impacted Earth. When the Arconians returned, Earth was covered in snow and ice. So they waited for the Ice Age to pass. After which they saw a race of small, hairless primates had somehow inherited the planet.
The Arconians were dismissive of the primates though saw some value in allowing them to exist. As humans were still too primitive to conquer, the Arconians decided to wait until humanity was technologically sufficient to be ruled over.
Thus 80,000 years ago, with the aid of some primitive humans an Arconian ship was hidden, disguised as a mountain in Jinghuan Valley, China. The plan was to have the crew and its clone army wait millennia until humanity reached a level of development that was appropriate for them to conquer. In the meantime their technological development was observed via the ship's AI which feed data to the commanders in stasis.
The Arconians were inadvertently awoken 7,000 years ago during the reign of China's ancient dynasties. The Arconians emerged from the disguised mountain and began to spread terror throughout the land, becoming known as the Shadow Walkers. The Emperor of China at the time sent armies to fight them, all which failed. The tribal warriors who lived in the mountains though managed to mount defense, having remembered the old stories of their ancestors of the visitors of the stars.. Using sacred herbs they were shown visions on how to defeat the creatures armor shells and discovered that jade could disrupt their power. The battle lasted three days, and the mountain warriors managed to drive the Arconians back into the mountain, sealing the entrance with jade and blood magic.
The secret of the mountain would be passed down through ages to the descendants of the mountain warriors. By the modern era even the Chinese government were vaguely aware of the danger of the mountain, creating a dam to keep the creatures within dormant. In a sense the mountain became China’s secret Area 51.
The Arconians were awakened once more due to touring group of Westeners. One of them possessed a quantum AI that was brought to study the mineralogy of the mountain which the Arconians ship was disguised as. Despite the warnings of the local guide that they should turn back, his warnings were ignored.
The Arconians had awakened and captured the group, and planned to awaken their clone army to conquer Earth. The tourists managed to escape with the help of their AI who managed to assimilate enough data to use the Arconians technology against them to hide themselves. They managed to arm themselves with Arconians weapons and sabotage the ship to prematurely awaken the Arconians army to make their infirm. And the later stole the ship’s key that activated its full functions. After much sacrifice and pain, the group managed to escape the ship, though their victory was moot as they spotted another Arconain vessel orbiting Earth.
