The Arachen are an alien species in the 41st Millennium.
Biology[]
Male Arachen’s were said to blade-legged with strange martial abilities. They also came in various sub-species:
- Oestromystics: Female Arachen that laid tangleclutch traps to catch victims for their egg-sacs.
- Grandfathers: Giant Arachen.
- Skitterlings: Small Arachens that attacked in swarms.
History[]
The Arachen were one of the few races that rejected to join the Tau Empire. Instead they responded in driving the Tau from their territory. A brutal multi-year conflict known as the Veil War, ensued with the Tau. A young Commander Farsight was able to claim victory over the Arachen by assassinating their leadership while Commander Dawnstone was launching a final offensive. The plan worked and the Arachen were drive out of their territory.
Culture[]
The Arachen traveled through space in cocoon-like ships. Their nest-cities were designed as mazes, which made fighting through them extremely difficult. They were led by a group known as the Arachen Trinity.
