Aquitians are amphibious humanoids originating from the planet Aquitar.

Male Aquitian
Aquitians greatly resemble Humans, except for the shape of their heads. An Aquitian's head is slightly larger than a human's and, from the shape, possibly lacks the upper skull. The face of an Aquitian is covered with cartilaginous ridges that resemble a mask, encircling the entire head. Female Aquitians are capable of growing hair, which can be seen jutting out of the back of their ridges. They also speak in bubbly voices, as if they are always underwater, which can sometimes make their speech hard to understand.
Aquitians, native to an world almost completely covered in water, evolved in an aquatic environment and need water to survive. However, they are in fact amphibious, not fully aquatic, able to survive in Earth's considerably drier atmosphere for at least an hour or two before needing to rehydrate. To rehydrate, Aquitians need to drink or otherwise absorb fresh water. Their hydration can be satisfied by simply drinking water, being doused in water, or being close enough to absorb it. While any source of water should suffice, water with impurity will not provide the same amount of hydration as clean, pure water. After long periods of time without water, an Aquitian would die. Aquitians are able to either telepathically communicate with or understand the language Earth's aquatic life, likely meaning that they are capable of communicating with aquatic lifeforms on Aquitar, and possibly on other planets. Due to their native environment, Aquitians are able to breath underwater for an unknown amount of time, likely indefinitely.
