Antrosapiens, also known as Antros, are a subterranean species of large crystalline monsters living deep beneath the surface of the planet Petropia.

Biology[]

Anatomy[]

Antrosapiens resemble theropod dinosaurs with purple rock-like skin, yellow eyes, and mouths that practically vanish when closed.

Powers and abilities[]

Antrosapiens are capable of generating powerful sonic shrieks that can shatter Petrosapien crystal structures.

Antrosapiens can regenerate their damaged skin over the course of eons.

Weaknesses[]

Despite their audiosonic attacks, Antrosapiens are not immune to sufficiently powerful sonic attacks. As such, they can be shattered just as they would shatter others.

Culture and society[]

Antrosapiens are distantly related to the Petrosapiens. Living far from the light of the Petropian surface, Antrosapiens seem to be very solitary creatures that roam together in groups of about two or three.

History[]

The Antrosapiens manipulated the wars of the Subsapiens above for centuries before making themselves known and tearing through the Subsapien armies. When the Surface Petrosapiens stepped in to ally themselves with the Subsapiens, they constructed a war machine capable of absorbing the Antrosapiens' sonic attacks and redirecting them as a powerful energy blast. This successfully dealt a devastating blow to the Antrosapiens that they spent the next few eons regenerating themselves.

Petropia would later become under siege by a Fulmini invasion party, leading to the Antrosapiens to join forces with both the Surface Petrosapiens and the Subsapiens to protect their planet. The Fulmini were quickly driven off, and all three factions were finally at peace.

Notes[]

  • The name "Antrosapien" comes from the Ancient Greek word "ántron", meaning cave; and "sapien" meaning intelligent being.
  • Antrosapiens strongly resemble Godzilla.
  • Despite only appearing in the reboot continuity, Antrosapiens have been confirmed to exist in the original Ben 10 continuity.[1]
  • It is implied that the Omnitrix contains Antrosapien DNA.
