The Amphibians are sapient amphibian beings from the dimension known as Amphibia.
Biology[]
Amphibians are known to come all different shapes and sizes: compared to most such as Frogs, Toads, Newts plus Axolotls who are shorter thus less taller than humans. While Giant Salamanders and Olms are more larger. Although Amphibians naturally possess merely four-fingered hands and two-toed feet expect for Olms, as they lack hindlimbs thus only have a pair of forelimbs. When they're hatchlings, Amphibians are typically known as polliwogs.
Culture and society[]
Most amphibians have different cultures: frogs are peaceful farmers, toads are barbaric warriors, newts and salamanders are noble people, axolotls are businesspeople and olms are cannibals. Frogs are mostly seen in the town of Wartwood Swamp.
However, other species of frogs have been observed outside of Wartwood. Toads have been observed to live in medieval castles with there leaders being dubbed "Toadlords". The toads are more carnivorous than frogs based on there dental structure. Newts seem to come in a Varity of sub-species. With 3 existing dubbed newts, Salamanders, Axolotls. Both Newts and Salamanders are highly intelligent although likely not as smart has the average Human. Axolotls are also intelligent being commonly seen as actors or businessmen but unlike Newts or salamanders they are not all smart as some serve food on food carts.
They are ruled by a giant Newt named Andrias Leviathan suggesting there government is that of an absolute monarchy. However recently it has been revealed that Andrias is working with the biomechanical entity named the "Core".
Technology[]
In truth ancient Amphibia was incredibly advanced capable of inter-universe, traveling and conquering different worlds to keep Amphibia stable. Through the unlimited power of three magic stones, the Amphibians not only could open doorways to other worlds, but power their robot armies and floating castles. In addition, they managed to use their science to reach their moon, which the Core used as its pet project, turning it into a giant mobile base.
However believing this to be wrong a frog named Leif stole the power source of all ancient Amphibia dubbed the Calamity Box regressing Amphibian culture to a pre-industrial level.
Relations with other species[]
Homo sapiens (Humans)[]
Amphibians have been at first mistrusting of humans do to being from another world/universe and looking radically different then other creatures but do to there intelligent nature (and conveniently all speaking English) the three humans who arrived in there world (Anne Boonchuy, Sasha Waybright and Marcy Wu) forged a friendship and care for the three human teenage girls.
Insects[]
Insects are part of the common fauna found in Amphibia some of these insects resemble creatures from Earth such as Mantises while others are completely independent from Earth such as Scorpileo. Some insects have been domesticated such as Snails while others prey on Amphibians such as Mosquitos.
Birds[]
Birds serve as one of the apex predators of Amphibia some are rather small like swans while others titanic such as Herons and Peacocks some are even elder gods like the Chicka-Lisk.
Mammals[]
Although rare mammals in Amphibia are incredibly dangerous and sense they are warm blooded it makes hunting Amphibian or insect prey with easy. Giant Weasels and bats along with Wolf-sized Hedgehogs and regular possums are the only mammals found on Amphibia.
Reptiles[]
Along with birds, reptiles are apex predators found in Amphibia with crocodilians, lizards, turtles and crocodilians as a matter of fact an alligator is used as part of Newtopia's sewage system.
