Amperi are a species of jellyfish-like beings from Tesslos, a gaseous planet in the Andromeda Galaxy.[1]

Biology[]

Anatomy[]

Amperi resemble blue and white jellyfish with six tentacles, four of which are their arms while the other two are their legs. Three hood-like parts make up their head and torso, with the upper most being the head and the lower two being the torso.

Powers and abilities[]

Amperi can manipulate and produce lightning and electricity, launching them in electrical blasts powerful enough to harm Vaxasaurians, Florauna, Evolved Methanosians, and even Celestialsapiens. They can also absorb electrical energy and relaunch it as their own attacks.

Amperi can read the thoughts of other beings such as Humans and Osmosians by sensing the electrical pulses of their minds.[2]

Amperi can levitate and/or fly through the air. Technically speaking, they are fast enough to keep up with Crystalsapiens.

Amperi are agile enough to dodge enemy attacks while flying.

Amperi are strong enough to restrain, lift, and/or throw humans and even Celestialsapiens.

Amperi can extend their tentacles multiple times their length.

Similar to Galvanic Mechamorphs and Nosedeenians, Amperi can become pure energy in order to enter electrical cables and generate a large energy blast that surrounds them.

Amperi are highly adaptable, being able to survive on dry land, underwater, and the vacuum of space.

Similar to Ectonurites and Necrofriggians, Amperi can become intangible. They can also combine this with their electrokinesis to electrically shock whatever they phase through.

Due to lacking bones, Amperi can squeeze through extremely tight spaces.

Despite having frail bodies, Amperi are durable enough to withstand an Aerophibian's neuroshock blasts.

While in space, Amperi can generate a protective energy shield around themselves. While underwater, they can swim at high speeds and safely discharge electricity.

Weaknesses[]

If an Amperi is using electricity while only partly in water, they will shock themselves.

There is a clear limit to an Amperi's durability, as they can still feel pain from an Aerophibian's neuroshock blasts. Similarly, heavy objects falling on them can make them faint.

Amperi can be lifted and swung around by a species with as much strength as Solid Plugg's species.

Opponents such as a hybrid Terroranchula can absorb electricity through Amperi.

Amperi can be easily overpowered by a Celestialsapien's telekinesis.

An Amperi's attacks are ineffective against rubber-like materials and species with electricity immunity, including Aerophibians and Solid Plugg's species.

Amperi can be constrained in an Anodite's Mana bubble.

Culture and society[]

Technology[]

Amperi have developed machinery capable of insulating electricity.

Notable members[]

  • Ampfibian: An Omnitrix transformation used by Ben Tennyson.
    • JellyFritz: An alternate version of Ampfibian used by the Ben Tennyson of Dimension 23.[3]
    • Ampfibian (Ultimate Alien Dimension): An alternate version of Ampfibian used by the Ben Tennyson of the Ultimate Alien Dimension.
  • Ra'ad: An Amperi that had been captured by Aggregor and Ampfibian's genetic donor.

Half-qualifiers[]

  • Kevin Levin: The Prime Timeline's Kevin Levin was temporarily transformed into an Amperi due to an Ultimatrix malfunction.
    • Ultimate Kevin: 17-year-old Kevin Levin of the Prime Timeline transformed into an amalgamation of every alien available in the Ultimatrix prior to traveling to the Forge of Creation, including Ampfibian. He would later absorb all of Ultimate Aggregor's powers, such as those he acquired from Ra'ad.
  • Ultimate Aggregor: Aggregor transformed into an amalgamation of all five aliens he collected, including Ra'ad.

Notes[]

  • The name Amperi derives from the term "ampere", the SI unit of electric current; it was first used on-screen by Ben Tennyson in the Ultimate Alien episode "Fused".
  • Before making their debut in the reboot series, it was confirmed that Amperi exist in that continuity. However, while Ampfibian's DNA is currently not in the Omnitrix, it will "get added later".[4]
    • Initially, there are no plans for Ampfibian to physically appear in the reboot, especially since Shock Rock was given a heavy focus during Season 2.[4] However, it was later revealed the statement was made to prevent spoilers for the movie event Alien X-Tinction.
  • The Brazilian Ben 10: Ultimate Alien Online Editora Sticker Album erroneously refers to the Amperi's homeworld as Attracta, which is also referred to as the homeworld of the Biot-savartians.
