Aludran Reptiloid

Aludran Reptiloids are hexapodal reptilians hailing from the Aludra sytem of the Canis Major constellation. They are a member-species of Mental's Horde.

Overview

Aludran Reptiloids resemble 15ft tall bipedal saurians with four arms and a pair of horns. They are usually green, although the significantly larger highlander subspecies differs in its brown or grey colouration, as well as enormous size of over 100ft.

The Aludran Reptiloids once mastered a powerful interstellar civilisation, but it collapsed after the star of their home system began to die, expanding into a red supergiant. As their world burned, the Reptiloids abandoned science and rationality and embraced religious reverence of the dying star. By the time Mental discovered the Reptiloids, their once powerful empire had been reduced to a decadent cult living in squalor. Mental offered them membership into his armies, offering them magical powers and salvation from extinction in exchange for their loyalty and service, to which they agreed.

Little is known about the Reptiloids' civilisation or technology before they lost it. In combat, their warriors commonly conjure and launch fireballs, and at least one Reptiloid, Tetrachoke the Wizard, demonstrated a telekinetic capability. Whatever technology the Reptiloids once had has been all but forgotten.
