Alien Species

The Aliens (strangely, that's the actual name they use for their species) are a sapient, extragalactic race whose homeworld was destroyed in an environmental disaster.

After centuries of searching for an "utopia" (i.e. a perfect planet to settle in), their search eventually brought them to Earth, specifically to Seabrook: a town inhabited by Humans, Zombies and Werewolves.

Biology[]

The Aliens physically resemble Humans but can be distinguished by their blue hair and silver spots on their left temples. They are natural telepaths, with their minds linked to one another while still acting as individuals. Even though they are aware of each other's thoughts, the Aliens communicate verbally among themselves. It is unclear whether their language is identical to English or if they learned English through telepathy, although the latter seems more likely.

Every Alien is born with what they refer to as a "stardust spark," which grants them their powers. This spark enables them to connect their minds telepathically, move objects through telekinesis, and generate significant amounts of electricity. It is also crucial for operating their technology and surviving space travel. If an Alien is separated from their kind for too long, their hair turns from blue to white, and they lose their spark along with the abilities it provides.

Like Humans, the Aliens are known to sweat when they are nervous.

After the destruction of their planet, the Aliens' population was reportedly reduced to only a couple of dozen individuals aboard their mothership, in addition to several single agents traveling in scout ships. However, it is possible that the mothership contains more passengers who did not participate in the Seabrook mission. Among the Aliens who landed on Seabrook, there were no children or elder members present. The only elderly individual observed was a scout who had been separated from the group mind for decades, suggesting that the stardust spark may be responsible for preventing the Aliens from aging.

The Aliens are genetically compatible with Humans and can have hybrid offspring with them. Hybrids raised away from the group mind will appear as ordinary (though white-haired) Humans and will not exhibit any extraordinary abilities. However, once they rejoin the group mind, their hair will turn blue, and they will develop their own stardust spark.

Culture and society[]

The aliens utilize emotion suppressors that can be activated or deactivated at will. They claim that emotions can be "messy" for telepaths, which is the reason for their suppression. However, it is likely that their motivation also stems from their culture, which places a high value on harmony.

They go to great lengths to avoid voicing disagreements and to maintain unity, believing it is essential to preserve a sense of togetherness. Initially, the aliens view Earth as an unremarkable planet and consider themselves intellectually superior to its inhabitants. They are described as having a non-hierarchical approach to leadership, with decisions made collectively.

Their technological accomplishments include interstellar travel, mind scans, cloaking devices, teleportation, information download devices, emotional suppressors, anti-gravity technology, and frozen yogurt.

Conversely, some common Earth objects are completely unfamiliar to them, such as handcuffs (which they mistakenly perceive as ceremonial jewelry) and pencil sharpeners. The concept of competition is also initially alien to them, as they do not engage in competition among themselves.

History[]

The Aliens' home planet was destroyed in an environmental catastrophe that unfolded over many years. They did not take action to stop it, fearing that doing so would lead to conflicts and disagreements, jeopardizing the peace and harmony they valued so highly.

After developing spaceflight to escape their dying planet, the Aliens traveled for centuries in search of a "utopia"—a perfect world to relocate to. Individual scout ships were dispatched to find such a place, one of which crashed on Earth in the town of Seabrook. The agent aboard the crashed scout ship recorded a message for her people, claiming she had discovered the coordinates to the utopia and hid them in the most precious thing in Seabrook. Separated from the Aliens' collective mind, the agent lost her spark and was compelled to live out the rest of her life among Humans, eventually marrying and having a daughter, and later a granddaughter.

Decades after the scout's ship was lost, the Aliens' mothership finally arrived on Earth, having endured a perilous journey filled with dangers such as space squids and carnivorous black holes. Suspecting that the people of Seabrook would not willingly share their "most precious thing," the Aliens initially concealed their true intentions and claimed they had come to participate in Seabrook's cheer competition, despite being unfamiliar with the concepts of "cheer" and "competition."

After pursuing the Werewolves' Moonstone and the Seabrook Cup trophy and discovering that neither was the "most precious thing" referenced in the message, the Aliens eventually realized that the scout's "most precious thing" was her granddaughter. The coordinates had been encoded in her DNA. To their surprise, the coordinates pointed to no other place than Seabrook itself. The scout had come to understand that, although it was not a "utopia," Seabrook was still a perfectly adequate home to live in, despite (or perhaps even because of) its imperfections.
