This species refers to an unnamed race that once attempted to colonize the planet Siberia 56.
Biology[]
From their remains found, the aliens had a skeletal system that was more or less humanoid.
Background[]
Based on a archeological evidence the aliens colonized Siberia 56 at least 60 million years ago. During that time they came in conflict with the Morbii, inscribing the fight against these creatures on frescos carved on cave walls using metal tools.
Around 3 or 4 million years ago, the aliens created more structures on the planet. At one point even attempted to rid Siberia 56 of the Morbii, by creating a trap in an artificial chams in the ice. Using what appeared to be living sacrifices they lured the Morbii into the chasm surrounded by monoliths where the creature's natural invisibility would be rendered inert. The plan failed and a total of fifty members of the aliens lost their lives.
At some point the aliens were forced to abandon Siberia leaving behind ruins. It is not certain what occurred but it is believed that around 2 million years ago that the species faced an fratricidal war between two opposite factions, contesting over how to fight the Morbii.
The situation is hypothesized that the only solution for a lasting peace between the two factions was to go to another planet that was less hostile. However the aliens still held a lingering claim to Siberia 56.
They intended to reclaim the planet in the distant future, and to make sure that no one else could colonize Siberia, the devised an elaborate trap. They constructed a great pyramid made of quartz designed to protect advanced machine machinery below it that serve as a receiver, transmitter and amplifier. If the pyramid was disturbed, the monument with produce a signal that would send out energy beams out into space and form a huge deadly cosmic cloud that would envelop the entire system, causing Siberia to experience magnetic disruptions, and deadly storms. In effect the pyramid was a great trap that razed the planet if any intelligent race attempted to colonize it.
The machinery would be activated millennia later by human colonization attempt, presumably destroying all life on the surface.
Culture[]
Based on their archaeological remains the species was an advanced culture. Examples of their sophistication are being able to drill a smooth 2,600 mile tunnel beneath the ice. And developed a system of monoliths that could render invisible creatures like the Morbius visible, even function after countless years. Though it appears that they had limits, as the species despite their mastery of technology failed to purge the Morbii.
Remains of the species, in the trap that was meant for the Morbii, were discovered to have restraint devices, that used electromagnetic fields and were worn at the joints. Despite the evidence of locking mechanism, would indicate that the species practice slavery or confinement of their fellow race, human scientists believed that the aliens practiced voluntary sacrifice. And that the chains they wore were used to fix them as bait to attract the Morbii.
Another feat of their technology was creating a great pyramid made entirely of quartz that when tampered with could build up enough energy to create a cosmic death could that could encompass entire system. According to the human scientists the technology that made the pyramid defies the laws of physics.
