Fire1

An unnamed species from the 1993 film Fire in the Sky based on the alleged true abduction experience of logger Travis Walton.

Description

In the film Travis Walton encountered the aliens on board their ship after they abducted him from Arizona's White mountains, first encountering the aliens' space suits and later the creatures themselves. Travis was then dragged to an operating table where he was covered by a tight, sticky rubber sheet while the aliens inserted different objects into his mouth, neck, and eyes. He was released five days later.

The Aliens are shown to have very small eyes, have no visible nostrils, no visible ears (excluding tiny holes on each side of their head) a bald head and are completely naked; they also seem to possess space suits with two eye cavities resembling the huge black eyes Greys are described with. Only one alien is seen wearing a suit, using it to hide among empty suits in an attempt to capture Travis.

Environment

The Ship itself appears to be techno-organic and extremely massive in size; this is supported by a scene where Travis wakes in a cryogenic chamber whose exterior resembles the interior of an insect hive. In one of the cocoons Travis discovers a human torso, revealing this area is used to store specimens both living and dead. Though the male torso is the only human specimen seen, items such as shoes, books, a watch and a pair of glasses imply there were other abductees. Given a large variety of mechanical "arms" appear on the ceiling during a restraint scene and the aliens are seen selecting items from a large grouping of tools, they may well perform a variety of tests, some more dangerous and rigorous than those shown onscreen (indeed, the possibility remains that Travis was subjected to more experimentation than is seen in the film). The ship is also a zero gravity environment, and is extremely dirty, cluttered with dirt, dust, slime, etc. this indicates the aliens have no discomfort in filthy environment, and personal hygiene has no meaning to them, due to the aliens lack nostrils, they might not smell the rotting corpses of their victims. The tools and equipment the aliens use for experiments on their victims also appear to be unsanitized, with visible dry stains of blood covering several tools.

Capabilities

As a long needle is seen seemingly penetrating Travis's eye and white flower flowed out of his eyes those who discover him find no sign of injury, the aliens may have healing technology. As shown when Travis was dragged through a series of corridors, the aliens seem able to walk about in a zero-gravity environment, The aliens, although they are very skinny, are shown to be incredibly strong, as they were able to pin Travis on a platform for several moments and unable to break free of their grasp while he struggled, till they places a sheet that shrink wraps him to the platform where he is immobilized completely, the sheet is so strong it can immobilize a full grown man unable to break it, although it can be cut through.

U.F.O

The U.F.O the aliens operate that Walton walks under appears to be dome shaped on the top and the bottom has a smaller round curve shape in the center of it. The bottom center of the UFO appears be transparent glowing with multiple colors and looks organic as if it was made of some kind of fluid or molten rock, (as when Travis looks up at it you see a close up of the bottom center which looks like molten Rock) the bottom center also emits some kind of red glowing gas or smoke that seems falling to the ground. (this smoke or gas is seen in other areas in the scene, such as when the crew pull up at site and Travis tells the driver to stop, there all distracted looking at plumes of smoke coming from the trees ahead of them till they notice Travis walking towards the UFO. Wittnesses in observing this UFO appear to be terrified once they caught sight of it, mostly Due to it's frightening appearance, and the fear of not knowing what it is and what it's doing there and what's capable of.

Travis Approaches the Craft in amazement while his crew mates yell to him to come back, Travis ignores them as he walks directly underneath the craft. As he does so the craft emits a blueish glow on the area around him, as the others question each other of what they're looking at, Travis stares up at the bottom of the craft which is pulsating a blue light underneath a transparent hull. he yells to his friend in amazement while his friend on the other hand yells to him get back. As he continues to observe the craft, the bottom of it changes red and begins emitting a red gas falling from beneath it and emitting a loud low tone rumbling sounds, then the UFO later starts to make the ground shake (as if it was going to take off) and Travis's curiosity and amazement turns to fear, so petrified he stands there glancing up at the ship and to his crew mates back and fourth.

As the ground shakes around the truck, his crew mates scream at him to get back to the truck, glancing back at the craft he is terrified to see the bottom of it resembling flowing molten rock. Too afraid to run, Travis stands there silently staring at the craft, as the crew's leader yells for Travis to come back immediately, Travis turns slowly away from the craft towards the truck, as he begins to move towards the truck, a beam of bluish light envelops him on the spot, paralyzing him on contact causing his eyes to roll up and arch his back facing upright, the beam keeps him upright facing the craft, then moves up lifting him up into the air and falling onto his back. This event is so terrifying to the onlookers that they believe that the light killed Travis. The beam of light continues to envelope the unconscious Travis for few moments until the light shuts off of him. Fearing for their lives, the men frantically beg the driver to leave, he reluctantly does so, speeding through the woods, trying to evade the craft if it was following them. Unable to see it, the men are unsure, feeling guilty for Travis being left behind. he stops the truck and decides to go back for him, much to the dismay of the others, the driver tells them to get out goes back himself, only to find the craft and Travis both gone.

History

There is a clue in the movie suggesting that the aliens have visited the same mountains before: a scene where a reporter (reporting live about Travis's disappearance) tells of an Apache legend about evil spirits that drop down from the sky to kidnap children. This evidence suggests that the aliens have been witnessed by the Apache long before Travis's abduction (believing them to be evil spirits) and that they possibly fear them due to previous abductions. Another scene supports this, the scene during the first huge search for Travis the day after his reported disappearance, Bobby and David, two the five men who witnessed the event, are searching through the woods having a conversation until they spot a older native man watching them from a short distance, he relies he's been spotted and walks away, David tells Bobby an Apache reservation is located nearby.

Coinciding with later news report of the legend, this shows the Apache may be aware of the situation involving Walton's disappearance but have no desire to be involved in it or the search for him, this being not too far from where Walton was abducted, Apaches from the nearby reservation might of witnessed the event and will have no part of it due to encounters from the same beings and possible abductions of their people. Due to the space vessel being littered with belongings of other abductees, this strongly supports this, showing the aliens have abducted many others, such as people who went missing in the woods, hikers, joggers etc, although some abductees aren't so lucky, as some evidently were never released or either died from Rigorous experimentation, as a containment pod stored a rotting torso of a man, who might of died by vivisection dismemberment and truly horrific experiments.
