This is an unnamed sapient alien species to which Alex from Galax, the mascot of the motion simulator Galaxy (1994-2005) in Phantasialand, belonged.

Description[]

This unnamed species has green skin, a dog-like snout, as well as big and pointy ears. It also has two antennas on its head. Not much is known about the species, even their form of communication is a mystery, as their members were never heard talking.

However, they seem to understand human language, as Alex from Galax, the security instructor of the space airline, waved to the visitors after the stewardess introduced them to him. The species is also known to be easily startled by flashlights.

The species is also sapient and a spacefaring civilisation (using round UFOs with tractor beams[1]) that has contact to humankind since at least the year 2093.

Trivia[]

  • Alex from Galax was not only a mascot of the attraction, but also a mascot of the complete park. Till 2005, the character was a meet-and-greet character and much merchandise was produced around it. Alex from Galax was also present in the park's parade. Even today, nearly 20 years after the closure of Galaxy, Alex from Galax is considered one of the most nostalgic aspects of Phantasialand.
  • Since 2023, Alex from Galax can be seen as a shadow on a poster advertising the "new novel" Siantapha by the fictional writer Ruprecht Lang. The poster can be seen in the restrooms of the area Berlin that is designed like the entrance of a subway.
