Alcidian

Alcidians are a sapient and normally highly sociable alien species which can form psychic links with each other via handshakes. Their natural form is that of tall skinny creatures with light grey skin, a vertically-opening mouth, and three fingers on each hand, all featuring exceptionally long claws. They are able to shift into Human form, although retaining their bright green eyes which make them clearly distinguishable; and many are known to work as cab drivers in New York. There is even a restaurant in the city specialized in Alcidian cuisine, where members of this species often hang out together. Although usually a peaceful people, the rare cases of anti-social Alcidians can be extremely dangerous given the species' ability to suck the body fluids of another being, leaving it dehydrated and weak.
