Ōtsutsuki are human-like beings, with minimal differences, pure Ōtsutsuki tend to have pale skin, horns on their foreheads and white hair and eyes. The Ōtsutsuki also have special eyes that they activate of their own free will, which grant them special powers.
History[]
Long before humanity, the Ōtsutsuki were a race that existed in a dimension called the Ōtsutsuki Dimension (it is not clear why they left that dimension), so they started looking for planets on which they could plant a seed of the Divine Tree, which the each millennium absorbing the energy of the beings on the planet the tree gives rise to a single fruit that carries the energy of all beings on that planet, whoever eats that fruit gains a power equivalent to that (the less energy the planet produces, the less energy those who consume it), and that every time the tree reached its adult stage, the seed of the tree apparently comes to life and turns into a colossal-sized monster, which would be known millennia later as Ten-Tails, had a special family of Otsutsuki who left the tree on the planet until he could no longer sustain life.
Therefore, a day about two millennia ago, some supposed Otsutsuki came to Earth and for being such a populous planet and for having a lot of natural energy, planted the seed of a tree there and a millennium later, two Ōtsutsuki, Kaguya and Isshiki decided to catch her, Kaguya fell in a place known as the Land of Ancestors during a war, and began to live with humans and had sexual relations with the country's leader, Isshiki's whereabouts at that time are unknown.
After living with us for a long time, finally Kaguya and Isshiki will collect the fruit to take him back to his planet, however, Kaguya betrays Isshiki and leaves him on the brink of death, Isshiki then uses a shrinkage technique to escape and parasitize a monk called Jigen, feeding on its nutrients to stay alive. Kaguya then, tired of human war, eats the forbidden fruit, attains divine power to stop the war. The power goes up to Kaguya's mind and makes her awaken an eye on her forehead known as Rinne Sharingan, using the power of that eye, she invokes a moon from another dimension and reflects on the moon, an illusion technique known as Infinite Tsukuyomi, trapping everyone on Earth in a reality of endless dreams, ending the war, so Kaguya was the first to manipulate Chakra, the mixture of physical and spiritual energy.
At some point Kaguya somehow learned of the visit of three Ōtsutsuki, Momoshiki, Urashiki and Kinshiki, who were coming to Earth to eat the chakra fruit, Kaguya then for not wanting this, started to transform the imprisoned humans into beings called of White Zetsu and created the White Zetsu Army to fight them when they arrived. Months later, Kaguya frees everyone from Tsukuyomi and erases their memories, becoming the queen of this world known to some as the Goddess Rabbit, and for others she is portrayed as Demon. Months go by and she gives birth to two hybrids, Hagoromo and Hamura, who could manipulate the same chakra. To speed up the generation of a new fruit, Kaguya begins to order human sacrifices where several were taken towards the tree.
Hagoromo and Hamura always saw people being taken, but their mother never told them where they were taken and what they were doing there. One day the brothers met Gamamaru, a frog from Mount Myoboku who said that beyond the mountains was the revelation of it all. They ignored it but Hagoromo was distressed when his love interest, Haori was chosen for the sacrifice, he and Hamura followed her and when they found out what happened, Hagoromo awoke the Sharingan, an eye technique descended from Rinne Sharingan from Kaguya, which awakened when you some kind of very strong emotion. Hagoromo then trains with Gamamaru to learn about the Natural Chakra, which was the energy generated by the planet itself and nature, after learning, Hamura was controlled by Kaguya who was already prepared for the scheme, forcing Hagoromo to fight against his brother, fatally wounding him. and awakening the Mangekyou Sharingan, and then becomes the Rinnegan, an evolved version of his eye, so Hagoromo freed him from his control.
Enraged Kaguya, merges with the Divine Tree to confront the brothers, becoming the gigantic beast called the Ten-Tails (also known as Juubi), starting a war against his children that lasted six months. After defeating the beast, Hagoromo sealed his chakra within himself, becoming the first Jinchūriki (being that has a beast within him) in history, becoming known as a god thanks to his victory and his immense power. Hagoromo and Hamura also sealed Kaguya with the Six Paths - Chibaku Tensei, sealing it in an enormous land mass that would come to be known as the Six Path Prison (also called Moon), but before being completely defeated, Kaguya creates a being called Black Zetsu, who would work on his resurgence years later.
Years passed and Hagoromo traveled the Earth giving his chakra to others, and became known as the Sage of the Six Paths and divided the Chakra of the Juubi present within himself into 9 parts, which was reported as 9 bijuus (beasts with tails), being nine in total each has a number of tails and the one with nine is a stronger one, he also created a religion, the Ninshū, which consisted of people sharing their chakra with each other so that everyone could be interconnected and understand each other's feelings others while Hamura gathered all the Ōtsutsuki remaining on Earth and went with them to establish a society on the Moon, but before leaving he left his human descendants on Earth, who together created the Hyūga Clan.
Hagoromo wanted him to make peace reign on Earth, which was impossible because he was already old and death was approaching, so he entrusted this mission to his sons Indra and Asura and taught them the Ninshū. Indra was the oldest and a true prodigy who managed to dominate the Chakra much faster than Asura, however, instead of propagating the Ninshū, Indra created Ninjutsu, a version created to combat the original Ninshū, since he believed that the way to bring peace is to subdue others through power, Asura on the other hand, had no natural talent and was somewhat disturbed, but he believed in his father's teachings believing that alliance and unity are the best way to achieve peace. Despite having different beliefs, Indra and Asura were brothers and good friends, always defending each other, only that it ended when Hagoromo was on his deathbed, and had to decide which one was worthy of his power, with Asura being the chosen one. for believing in his father's teachings, a feeling of anger and envy grew in Indra, Indra was manipulated by the words of Black Zetsu, who made him grow up in something that would come to be known by his descendants as the Curse of Hate, Indra calls Asura to the fight and the two end up dying, the hatred between the two of them is so strong that it is passed from generation to generation, reincarnating in other bodies until in some generation, the reincarnations stop hating each other.
Before their deaths, Indra had descendants who also inherited his Sharingan, who would come to be known as the Uchiha Clan, while Asura's descendants would come apart, and be known as the Senju Clan, and the other as the Uzumaki Clan. What Hamura and Hagoromo started and built were corrupted. Hagoromo's religion of peace and sharing, ninshū became ninjutsu, something that the descendants of Otsutsuki on Earth, separated and each formed a family, the Uzumaki, Hyūga, Uchiha, Senju and Kaguya, and used the new ninjutsu to war with each other, creating the Age of Fighting States and marking the beginning of the shinobi/ninja.
